WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO HERE AT RAINE N DREAMS
LORRAINE HOOVER
Lorraine has been dreaming of owning her very own horse facility for a very long time and in 2019 she made that dream a reality.
Lorraine has been with horses through thick and thin she has ridden small ponies to pony horses on the track in many different states.
She has always aspired to do the best by every horse that she comes in contact with including the wonderful JJ that is pictured with her at the entrance to the barn on the saw blade. JJ was a horse that was purchased off the kill truck and became Lorraine’s pride and joy and when he retired from being the ultimate pony horse, he came home to Michigan with Lorraine to spend his retirement as her personal riding companion until his death in 2021.
Lorraine continues her passion on finding the right fit for not only the rider but also for the horse.
You can catch Lorraine at the arena whenever there is an event. If it happens to be a barrel show you can rest assured in between everything else she will be saddling up her new horse Violet to chase those cans.
MA DEBB
Mostly the woman behind the scenes, Ma Debb is the lady that is the glue that holds us together.
She sees to the day to day operation of the farm making sure that all the chores get done and keeping us on course.
She is Lorraine's Ma and aunt to Wendy and Jess.
She has been farming all her life and very rarely has she ever been without a horse by her side.
she has spent countless hours making sure every animal that comes to the farm is well taken care of and that even some of our more hairbrained dreams come to life.
We all know that without her support and confidence in all 3 of us we would have never come this far.
JESSICA JANETSKI
Over 30 years horse experience from starting mustangs to going to the world IBRA Championships
Jessica has been involved with horses her entire life from the moment she convinced her father to bring her first pony home in the back of a pickup. She has a very special connection to her current horse Legacy in the picture with Jess, as he is the last colt by her half draft stallion Dakota whom Jess owned and trained from a yearling until his death at 21 years of age.
Jess has also been an avid 4-H leader through out her adult life and has advocated that children should not just be taught how to ride a horse, but should know basic anatomy and the proper way to care for a horse.
Jess has also rescued numerous mustangs from the wild including Legacy’s dam Tempest. She respects the wild instincts these horses have and believes that the herds should be taken care of by man as we are the ones that have destroyed their natural habitat and even the predators that kept their numbers in check.
Jess rides nearly every sale horse that comes to Raine N Dreams as she has ridden everything from a gaited Tennessee walker to straight off the track Thoroughbreds. She is a very accomplished rider and we are glad she is a member of our team
